Deborah Sewitch has been working with HeartMath® technologies since 2004 and is a HeartMath® Certified Resilience Coach. A breast cancer survivor, she has experienced firsthand the power of the HeartMath® Resilience Program in optimizing her inner energy level and self-regulating emotional stress. Deborah's past includes a 35-year history in sleep research and clinical sleep disorders medicine with faculty appointments at 4 university-based medical schools. Her academic career in sleep and sleep disorders was followed by almost 8-years working as a government contractor for SAMHSA's National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP) and the National Cancer Institute's (NCI's) Registry of Research-tested Intervention Programs (RTIPs) websites. Deborah has been a Clinical Polysomnographer since 1984 and a PhD Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine since 1991. She served as a scientific reviewer for 2 institutes of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Veterans Administration (VA) in the area of sleep. She is the author or co-author of 54 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has been featured in a number of national magazines including: Redbook, Prevention, McCalls, Cosmopolitan, and O(prah).
